The Concert Band is an ensemble for Freshman, students who are switching instruments, or students who wish to continue working towards a higher attainment of fundamental abilities. This ensemble enables students to develop the skills needed to audition for Symphonic Band or Wind Ensemble in the future.
Concert Band performs at Winter and Spring Concerts. |
The Symphonic Band prepares music of high artistic merit and performs at all concerts and adjudications. The band has received superior and excellent ratings at local adjudication.

The Atholton Wind Ensemble strives to perform at a high level of artistry. Each year the Wind Ensemble consistently receives superior ratings at local adjudications. In 2011 and 2016 the Atholton Wind Ensemble represented Maryland at the Music for All National Concert Band Festival in Indianapolis, Indiana. In March 2018 the band performed at the Maryland Music Educators' Conference in Baltimore.
