AHS Jazz Ensembles

​The Atholton High School Jazz Ensembles are a way for student can experience high levels of music making, enjoy the music making process, and understand the value and legacy of jazz as an art form. Jazz Band provides opportunities for students to enjoy and appreciate a more full spectrum of music and education. The bands perform repertoire from the traditional and contemporary jazz lexicon.

AHS Jazz Combo
The Atholton High School Jazz Big Band is an all-encompassing group 
The AHS Jazz Combo is an auditioned group made up from members of the AHS Jazz Band. This smaller, more selective group is meant for students who have interest in playing jazz at a higher level in a smaller setting. This chamber jazz environment allows for an emphasis on developing improvisation and communication within the ensemble.
