History of the Band
The Atholton Marching Band has a reputation for excellence and enthusiasm. Under the direction of Mr. Lee Stevens from the 1980's-late 2000's, the band helped generate excitement for competitive marching band in Howard County. Under the direction of Mr. Eric Posner from 2008-2023 the band has become a model for local volunteer competitive bands! In 2014 the band was recognized as the USBands Maryland Group IV-A State Champions. The band is currently under the direction of Madeline Swartz who will lead the band into her second season this year!
