Concert OrchestraThe AHS Concert Orchestra may consist of students in 9th-12th grade. Concert Orchestra maintains a focus on developing technique. Vibrato, shifting, bowing, and much more are reviewed and covered in this course. This group performs periodically throughout the school year, combining forces with the Chamber Orchestra for select pieces and events. This is the appropriate group for the typical incoming 9th grader, upper-classmen who are returning to strings after a couple of years break, and those who still need some work on developing more advanced technique. In addition to performing throughout the year, this group travels on the department trip in the spring. No audition is required to participate, however, previous experience on an instrument is necessary
