Orlando 2024 Trip Participants:
Please complete this Buddy/Roommate Form by midnight on Thursday, February 8. You also need to be at an absolute minimum of $220 paid to continue to guarantee your spot on your account by the time you submit the form (midnight 2/8). Please ensure you are abiding by the payment schedule on the itinerary (can be accessed in the portal in Documents) to ensure that we are receiving the lowest possible costs for all 100 participants. If there is an issue with payment, please contact Carolyn Freel and Emily Ward with Music Travel ASAP.
The Pretzel Rod Fundraiser is live! Use the link to sign up, print the signature page, and bring it to the music office Monday 2/12. Students may pickup boxes if they have a signed permission slip on Monday 2/12 @ 7:30am. All monies will be due Friday 2/23 @ 3pm. E-mail Ms. Freel with questions.
The AHS Music Department is rolling out a fundraiser for students to earn money toward their Spring Trip cost. Students have the opportunity to go to local businesses and ask them to be a corporate sponsor for the AHS Music Department. If the business pays to be a sponsor, they will receive ad space in our 3 digital spring programs that will be seen by hundreds of community members and will be listed and linked on our website. The student will get 50% of the cost of the sponsorship directly toward their trip. We are keeping track of this on the google form that the business fills out so please make sure the business has your name.
We will work to create a form letter for students, but a personalized and thoughtful request from the student will go much futher and we encourage students to reach out in person and follow up via email. Businesses are much more likely to become a sponsor with a personalized, in-person connection.
Here is the form to share with the potential corporate sponsors: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScHzZnMkZ1JSnwxqPXcZTepUngY2b9zdPJLqe6YJMsZ2rj24w/viewform?usp=sf_linkLinks to an external site.

We currently have 86 students who have committed in writing to our Orlando Spring Trip. The next step is submitting your payment of $50.00 by Thursday, December 21 11:59pm. If you did not submit a Google Form, but you would still like to go on the trip, you may reserve your spot by making the $50 payment. We are hoping for 100 students still, but we must have at least 85 people submit the payment in order for the trip to run.

As of the sending of this message, we are up to 44 trip participant commitments. We need to reach 85 students in order for the trip to run. The latest we can really make that call is end of day Monday as families need to pay the $50 non-refundable airfare fee before we leave for winter break.
The music department has applied for a couple of individual fundraisers that would go toward students' individual trip accounts including selling Pretzel Rods in person (January), selling Mixed Bags online (February), and obtaining Corporate Sponsors (Jan-March). We are also looking into a group pledge page fundraiser as an individual fundraiser. We are trying to ensure that with this fundraiser, students are receiving the maximum amount possible.
Music Boosters has been and will continue to discuss group fundraisers to offset the total cost of the trip for students. We would love your input at the next Music Boosters meeting on Thursday, January 11, 2024 @ 7-8pm in the choir room. The more parents we have to help, the more we can do.

The above trip folder contains information about the April 2024 AHS Music Department Spring Trip. After reviewing the documents and the meeting footage, please complete the AHS 2024 Spring Trip Commitment no later than end of day Friday 12/15. This is just a written commitment. You will have until Thursday, December 21 to pay the $50 non-refundable deposit that will lock in our airfare once we have met the 85 student minimum.
We recognize that the turn around time is quick and want to thank you in advance for your cooperation. We figured a last minute trip is better than no trip! Please keep an eye on the homepage of the new music department website for regular updates. http://www.atholtonmusic.org/

It is time for the marching band jacket order! For the past seven years, we have ordered special jackets just for our marching band, to show the same pride we have on the field, off the field. I've attached a link to a google form that will show you the jacket, provide sizing information and information to order and pay (via PayPal).
Students with jackets have been asked to bring theirs to rehearsal this week for new members to try on. I will also be available to answer any questions at the beginning of rehearsals this week.
Orders are due by SUNDAY, OCTOBER 15. Jackets will arrive approximately two weeks after the order is placed.
